AmeriCup Rules

Introduction

AmeriCup is a series of Classic Accuracy meets that has the mission to grow our community on the American continent. The series are competitions all related to each other that will allow the opportunity to accumulate points for the overall standings at the end of the year. The series of this Cup are also organized at dates that do not conflict with other major classic Accuracy events.

Rules

· Teams are formed by 4 members each;

· For teams that can only have 3 members, additional team average score (rounded up) will be added for the missing member;

· Competitors that cannot form a team of at least 3 members will be scored for the individual rankings only;

· For a team name to be re-used, that team needs to have at least two members that previously competed for the same team name throughout the year. Exception are the teams in the first round of each year when no such precedence exists yet;

· Points will be awarded each round on a logarithmic scale from 100 pts for 1st place to 2 pts for 10th place for teams;

· Points will be awarded each round on a logarithmic scale from 100 pts for 1st place to 2 pts for 30th place for individual competitors;

· The rest of participants / teams will receive 1 point for participation;

· The points distribution per ranking is presented in the table below;

· Medals will be awarded for teams, Open (Men & Women together) and Masters each round;

· Total score at the end of the rounds will be used to award medals for the overall winners of the 2019 AmeriCup;

· The 4 medals for the overall team standing medals at the end of the year will go to the team members that attended the most rounds under the same team name. In case of a tie, it will be up to the team’s members to decide how that tie will be broken;

· Individual competition numbers are going to be staying the same every year. New competitors will receive the next available number in the list
